Fashion Design + Product Development
The following report is a brand analysis of the company Jil Sander and an S/S 2022 product line for the coming fashion season. While writing this report, I had to take into consideration the effects of Covid-19 and the currently changing fashion industry. My main sources of information came from industry trend reports such as WGSN, LSN Global, Business of Fashion, etc.
Before producing a new product line, I did the following: analyzed the brand’s current products using SWOT analysis, researched key marketing trends, identified the brand’s target consumer, and identified market position using comp-shop. Finally, I tailored a collection that accounted for the brand’s target consumer, season, upcoming trends and launch time. The result, a limited edition capsule collection promoting conscious consumption.
